Wall Installation

Wasabi Sushi

I worked with an architect and printing company to design a 128 foot long wall installation inside the dining space of Wasabi in Waukee, Iowa. My task was to draw a custom illustration of several types of fish ‘swimming’ across the wall. I was also responsible for measuring the space and correctly setting up the files for an efficient printing and installation process.

The restaurant owner was so happy with the result that they wanted another fish wall designed for their second Wasabi location in Johnston, Iowa. We took the existing artwork and reworked it to fit the layout and colors of the new space.

Here is the installation at their Johnston location. I worked with an architect to choose colors that would compliment the cool, sophisticated vibe of the interior.

Here is the installation at their Waukee location. This wall had an additional layer of thick acrylic and uplighting to add even more dimension.
